Community comes together for a night of hope for Harper

A fundraising night in Stone later this month will bring the community together to support a two-year-old girl undergoing treatment for brain cancer.

Harper

The event, themed around the 80s, takes place at The Sanctuary on High Street on Saturday 22 November from 7:30 pm to 12:30 am.

All proceeds will go towards helping Harper and her family enjoy a special holiday once her treatment at Birmingham Children’s Hospital comes to an end.

Harper, who lives locally, is currently receiving intensive chemotherapy after being diagnosed with an aggressive form of brain cancer. Her family face six to nine months of hospital visits and treatment.

Her relatives have organised the fundraiser to give them something positive to look forward to when it’s all over – a trip to Disney and time together away from the hospital.

The night will feature live music from Lydia Bee, a raffle, and a chance for people to gather in support of a young family facing an incredibly tough time.

Tickets are £5 for adults and £2.50 for children, available via JustGiving. Proof of purchase will be needed on the night to collect wristbands. – https://justgiving.com/crowdfunding/charlotte-james-5

Organisers said every penny raised will help create “happy memories that will last a lifetime for Harper”.
