Teams from Christchurch Academy are cross country champions after they triumphed in this year’s under-11 Stafford and District Cross Country League.
After four races over four weeks, both the boys’ and girls’ teams from the Stone school came out on top.
[box type=”shadow” ]A school spokesman said: “Over the last four weeks they have worked really well as a team and given their all. Their hard work and commitment have really paid off and we’re delighted to see both teams get the trophies.”[/box]
The four races were held at Shugborough, Birches Valley, Cannock Chase and here in Stone around the Common Plot.
Jasmine and Harrison Lovatt, who we featured on the site recently, took the individual titles.

Amazing to watch the Christchurch teams. They showed that dedication and teamwork can really pay off. Every single child gave it their all over a grueling four weeks of running in the mud, cold, rain, wind and sleet (week 3!). Well done everyone.
