The family of Madi have shared details of her funeral and celebration of life after her death on Monday 1 June following her battle with cancer.
A Little Bit of Stone previously shared the family’s fundraising appeal for treatment in America in June 2024.
Madi’s family said
“It is with the deepest sorrow and a heart full of love that we announce the passing of our beloved Madi, who gently left this world this morning after a courageous battle with cancer.
“Mads fought with remarkable strength, grace, and an irrepressible sense of humour that lit up even the darkest days. She faced every challenge with bravery and a smile, finding ways to laugh, to lift others, and to remind us all not to take life too seriously.
“Her spirit, wit, and warmth touched everyone who knew her, and she never let her illness define her. Instead, she lived fully, loved deeply, and brought joy wherever she went.”
A funeral service will be held at Stafford Crematorium, Tixall Road, Stafford, ST18 0XZ, at 3.30pm on Friday 19 June.
This will be followed by a celebration of Madi’s life at The Stone House Hotel, Stafford Road, Stone, ST15 0BQ.
Her family said Madi wanted the celebration to be a party, with live music from Stepping Lane.
All are welcome to attend and share in remembering her life. Madi requested that there is no dress code, and people are invited to wear whatever they would like.
The family have asked for donations to Katharine House Hospice, Stafford, in memory of Madi, rather than flowers.
