Stone in Bloom celebrate National Tree Planting Day on Saturday 26th March by planting 450 trees at three locations across the town – and you’re invited to help out!
Stone in Bloom volunteers and helpers are meeting on the Common Plott off Old Road – at the Plott House – at 10.30am.
Next stop is the Crown Meadow, before the final trees are planted in Westbridge Park.
The group has been given 450 small tree whips by the Royal Horticultural Society to mark the national tree-planting day. Some have been given to local schools this week – the rest will be planted on Saturday!
Please take a small spade if you’re going along to help.
