GCSE joy for Katie and Molly!

Thanks to Joshua Cope for this series of fab photos taken at Alleyne’s High School on GCSE results day, 23rd August, of two friends opening their results together. Katie Marshal, on the right, got 8 A* to C grades and her friend Molly Dean got nine. Both students are going to Stoke-on-Trent Sixth Form College.

We haven’t got an overview of results from Alleynes yet, but over at St Dominic’s Priory School they’re celebrating a 100% pass rate, with all students getting more than five subjects at A* to C.

Headteacher Pat Adamson said: “Once again the hard work of all our students and staff has brought examination success. Even more significant is that our students have achieved these wonderful results while also taking an active part in a range of extracurricular interests and activities in school.  Education is about the whole person – mind, body and spirit – and that is what St Dominic’s prides itself on doing best. Our pupils have a wide range of abilities and are encouraged to reach their full potential. I would like to congratulate them all and encourage them to build on today’s success as they move on to further study.”
