Group for Stone snappers up and running

It was a great first meeting of the Stone Photographers group on Tuesday night at the Royal Exchange, with 18 people turning up to share expertise, learn tips and techniques and meet fellow snappers in the area!

The group has been set up by Harriet Denson, Richard Matthews and Rie Hill – and they set a challenge for the next meeting on Tuesday 6th August (again at 7pm at the Exchange): take along an image that you’ve taken (printed photo or on screen) on the theme of ‘flowers’.

Get snapping! If you didn’t make the first meeting,  you can still get involved and share your photo at the August meeting. With members’ permission, we’ll try to get some of them on the site too. Stone Photographers also has a Facebook page HERE.

Lots of ideas were discussed for the future of the group, including holding photo walks, an exhibition of photos at Radford Gallery (run by Harriet) and a 2014 calendar featuring the photos of group members.

Next meeting: Tuesday 6th August, 7pm, Royal Exchange, Radford Street
