A new drop-in centre to help jobseekers has opened in Stone.
The Signpost Centre is based in the Frank Jordan Centre in Lichfield Street and gives people the chance to get help on a range of topics such as finding employment or debt advice. The facility also includes an internet cafe with free refreshments.
It’s the fourth Signpost centre to have opened in the Stafford area and the first in Stone.
The centre is open on Monday and Tuesday from 9.30am until 12.30pm during the school holidays. From September it will be open every weekday morning except Thursday.
Funding for the project has come from organisations including Stafford Borough Council and South Staffordshire Primary Care Trust. For more information contact Signpost co-ordinator Karen Wardell on 07731 795782.

I own and have used several live blades. This one is of better construction than all but one, which cost me $1000. The blade is almost full tang and well secured with two pins. The blade is well designed with a nice long fuller and comes semi-sharp. It took little time, however, to get it sharp enough to cut hairs. I have not done any Tameshigiri with it yet but have full confidence.

Dear Carol We have only recently opened and are aware of all the services Highfields offer including solicitors and will endeavor to provide as many of these as we can. It will take time to get these going as we will need to make contact with people who can provide such services. In the meantime please do come and visit us, we are open Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday mornings 9:30 – 12:30. Karen

Will you have a solicitor like they do at Highfields? I see a need for more advice,C.A.B. doesnt have the facilities a town this size requires.
