Inspectors were particularly impressed with the atmosphere in the school, the positive attitudes to learning and the good behaviour and they reported that a consistently good education was being delivered by the school, providing every opportunity for students to succeed.

Headteacher Karen Lockett said: “We’re extremely pleased with the outcome and that inspectors felt that we have the potential to be ‘outstanding’. Our attendance and assessment for learning were judged as outstanding in this inspection.

“The inspectors made numerous positive comments about the school including, ‘there is a shared vision that places raising the achievement of all students at the heart of the school’s work’. They were also very complimentary about the students – ‘Students consistently behave well and enjoy positive relationships with their teachers’.

“The senior leadership team and my colleagues at Alleyne’s will be striving for an ‘outstanding’ judgement at the next inspection.”
