Stone’s multi-award-winning Stonefield Park will play host to a free brass band concert on Sunday 14th August.
On Sunday 14th of August 2022, the popular Florence Brass Band will be performing at Stonefield Park between 2:00pm and 4:00pm.
Stone Town Council have hosted a number of these concerts in the past, and they always prove popular, so get down early, take a picnic and a blanket and enjoy! The afternoon will also include the 2022 Burma Star commemorations at around 3:00pm.
Entry is free, and a limited amount of refreshments will also be available without charge to attendees.
Councillor Jill Hood, Chairman of the Council’s Tourism and Town Promotion Sub-Committee, said
“We hope that you will join us for an enjoyable Sunday afternoon at Stonefield Park, to relax and enjoy some good music and good company.”
Stonefield Park is a hidden gem in the northern part of the town. Flanked by rows of terraced houses, you’d be forgiven for passing and missing it! It recently, once again, won a national Green Flag award.
You can find Stonefield Park up Radford Street and then turn left before The Bridge Inn. It’s also close to the railway station if you’re travelling in by train.
Parking can be busy around the area, so where possible, it’s recommended to walk to the park. If you do need to drive then please park responsibly and consider access for residents and emergency services on the narrow streets around the park.

The park has a play area for smaller children and the Bridge pub is across the road from the Park. Something for everyone and we’re even hoping the icecream van will turn up for us!
