RAAAA- AAAARGGGGGGH! (Tarzan impression!)
We’re not ‘lion’, or monkeying around, there’s a whole host of jungle fun in store for youngsters in Stone this Easter as Christ Church invites children from Reception up to Year 6 to join the Jungle Jamboree club.
So what is the Jungle Jamboree Holiday Club?
The four-day fun club is themed around Bible stories from the book of Luke, comprising games, songs, crafts, puppets and drama.
The Club is run by volunteers from Christ Church, Stone, and Oulton Church. The aim is to teach children attending some basic Christian values while having a great time.
To ensure maximum enjoyment, children are encouraged to attend all four afternoon sessions, as the event follows a programme of Bible teaching and drama that follows through as the Club progresses, but they can also join for shorter periods if they’re unable to attend every day.
There is no requirement for parents to stay, as the children can be safely left in the Club’s care. Each child will be placed into a small group, based on their age, and the Club’s dedicated leaders will be responsible for him or her throughout the afternoon.
There are also activities for all the children to partcipate in together, such as singing, quizzes, drama, puppets, activity sheets, crafts, and playing games, so they definitely won’t be bored! Refreshments will also be available.
The club culminates in a special Holiday Club Service for all the family at Christ Church on Sunday 3rd April, with breakfast served at 9.15am. During the service there will be the opportunity to see what the children have learned and get a taste of the fun they have experienced during this unique week.
The Club hope your children would like to be part of this exciting adventure! See the poster above for details.
