For nearly 100 years, Kibblestone has been enabling young people to find challenge and adventure in the great outdoors and now they are making a call out for new adult volunteers to help with their work.
In a release sent to A Little Bit of Stone, District Commissioner Clive Leader said:
“Now, more than ever, young people need the opportunity to have fun and thrive in a safe yet wild environment. But we need help so young people can reconnect with their peers, to support their wellbeing and to help them build their skills for life after a truly difficult couple of years.
We depend on adult volunteers at all levels. Whether it is helping with the governance as a trustee, using practical skills to maintain and develop the infrastructure, running adventurous activities, helping with catering or simply pulling out some weeds, there is a place for everyone.
And the really good news? Volunteering is good for you! Practicing new skills, meeting new friends, soothing your wellbeing. It makes you feel great too!
If you want to help, please get in touch use goodforyou@kibblestone.org. Volunteer today: it’s #goodforyou”
