Members of Barlaston Herons WI were inspired by the huge display of poppies at the Tower of London and created their own mini version.

Sara Morris from Barlaston Herons WI said: “A lot of WI members and their families have been busy making either knitted or crocheted poppies by their hundreds. We’ve taken inspiration from the London poppies and so all ours are on sticks among the grass around our village Cenotaph ready for the service. They will now hopefully be sold, with all proceeds being split between The Royal British Legion and Help for Heroes.”
