Langtrys pub is back under ‘old’ management!
Popular former landlord Dave Smithwick is back behind the bar at the Stonefield Square boozer after an absence of eight years.
Dave said: “I’m absolutely delighted to be back running my old Cask Ale Emporium. I’ve got a lot of work to do but I’m determined to restore the pub to its former glory. I’ve now got four great cask ale on hand pumps and the bar is looking as shiny as a new pin.”
Dave said he has plans for an immediate refurbishment and redecoration.
“It is in need of some TLC. During the next few weeks there will be workmen all over the place,” he said. “We will be staying open while the work takes place, so I hope customers will be patient with me so they can enjoy the new Langtrys when the work is finished.”
Langtrys is open every day from 12pm till 11pm.
