If you’ve noticed barriers on Lichfield Road today, it’s down to work on the phone mast along that stretch.
The section between Altona Close and Parkway (by Stone SP Cricket ground) is closed while Vodafone carries out replacement works.
The closure came into force on Monday 16 February 2026 and is expected to remain in place until Friday 20 February 2026.

Where it affects
Access is being maintained for residents on that stretch and for emergency services, but through traffic is not able to use it while the work is underway.
Although the legal order allows for a longer window if needed, the expectation is that the job will be completed by the end of the week.
