You may have noticed lots of interesting narrowboats appearing this week on the canal towpath in Stone above Lime Kiln Lock – several of them are over a century old.
The owners have come to Stone for a private party and, naturally, have left their cars at home to arrive by boat.
Anyone interested can walk along the towpath to see our waterways’ heritage in action. If you’re lucky you may even see some of the boats on the move on Saturday and Sunday afternoons (17th and 18th October 2015).
