A man was taken to hospital yesterday after a road traffic collision during the rush hour on the A34 in Stone.
West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to The Fillybrooks, near to Stone fire station, at around 5.40pm on Thursday 1st December.
West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “On arrival at the scene, crews found two cars that had been in collision. The driver of the first vehicle, a man, had suffered a significant head injury.
“The man was treated at the scene and was fully immobilised before being conveyed to University Hospital of North Staffordshire for further assessment and treatment. The driver of the second vehicle was assessed at the scene but did not require any further hospital treatment.”
The A34 was closed northbound from the Walton roundabout.
On a bad night for accidents on roads in Stone, there were further collisions on the A34 at the Darlaston roundabout and on Newcastle Road.
