This year Stone RUFC’s President’s Day took the opportunity to give commemoration to their past-president, Mr Peter Kenny, who sadly passed earlier this year.
A memorial bench was presented in his memory, which now sits at the clubhouse end of the pitch, and a minutes silence was observed by both the home side and the visiting Burntwood team.
Peter Kenny was a pillar of the Stone community, and was president of Stone RUFC from 2007, until his passing in 2018. Stone RUFC would like to thank him and his family for their unwavering support throughout these years, and were delighted to see the day home with a 41-14 victory.
