A number of changes to local bus services in and around Stone will come into force on 6th September as D&G Bus takes on routes under contract to Staffordshire County Council.
- A new service, the number 12 (Fulford – Blythe Bridge – Meir Heath – Longton – Barlaston – Stone – Eccleshall – Newport) partially replaces Bennetts service 4 and First Potteries service 23
- 13/13A Stone – Norton Bridge – Stafford replaces Bennetts service 490
- 14, X14, X14A, X14B Hanley – Stoke Station – Trentham – Barlaston – Stone – Eccleshall – Stafford partially replaces D&G Bus service 20, First Potteries service 23 and Arriva Midlands service 432. The company says new fast links between Hanley, Stoke, Trentham Gardens and Stone will be provided on service X14
- 15, 15A, 15B Newport – Swynnerton / Market Drayton / Norbury Junction – Eccleshall – Stafford – Stone will partially replace Bennetts services 18, 190 and 436.

The company was in the town centre this week to explain the changes to bus users in Stone and will be in town again on Thursday 3rd September.
