New holistic massage service to open inside FACE Aesthetics on Stone High Street

A new complementary therapy business is preparing to open its doors in the centre of Stone.

Still. Massage & Complementary Therapies Services, run by Sue Frankum, will be based inside FACE Aesthetics at 34 High Street.

It marks a new chapter for Sue, who brings 20 years’ experience as a therapist to the town.

Two decades of experience behind the move

Sue has worked across a range of settings, from spas to hospice care. She is registered with the Federation of Holistic Therapists and is fully insured.

Explaining why she decided to launch her own venture now, she said she has always been a “people person” and that caring for others sits at the heart of what she does.

“I’ve been a therapist for 20 years and I genuinely love what I do,” she said.

“I’ve worked in spas and I also work as a complementary therapist in a hospice, supporting people with a variety of conditions. That experience has shown me how important it is to create a space where someone can just be.”

She added that her aim is to give clients “an amazing sensory experience” so they leave feeling lighter and more comfortable in themselves.

What treatments will be available

The business will offer a range of holistic therapies, including:

  • Aromatherapy massage
  • Pregnancy massage
  • Hot stones massage
  • Lava shell massage
  • Indian head massage
  • Reflexology with leg and foot massage
  • Freestyle bespoke massage, combining Swedish, deep tissue and relaxation techniques depending on the outcome required

Sue says treatments will be tailored to the individual, rather than following a fixed routine.

“A typical client can be anyone,” she said.

“Some people may have joint pain or muscular tension. Others might just need to slow down and relax. Every treatment will be bespoke to suit their needs.”

While massage services are available elsewhere in the town, Sue believes there is space on the High Street for more holistic, aromatherapy-led therapies.

Why Stone

Sue lives close to Stone and says she has always been drawn to the town.

“I love the vibe here. I often come out in Stone and Sharon at FACE has always spoken so warmly about her clients and the residents.

“It feels like the right place to build something.”

She will initially open on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, with some late evening appointments available. There are plans to extend to full-time hours in the future.

Looking further ahead, she hopes the business will grow enough to allow her to train apprentices.

Opening weekend

The launch will coincide with FACE Aesthetics’ first anniversary celebration on Saturday 28 February, with a drop-in event taking place from 4 pm to 7 pm. Visitors will be able to pop in and find out more about the new therapy services.

More information can be found at stilltherapies.co.uk, or via social media under Still.Massage & Complementary Therapies Services on Facebook and @stilltherapies on Instagram.

Stone’s High Street has seen a steady mix of retail and wellbeing businesses in recent years. Sue is hoping her new venture will add another option for residents looking to unwind a little closer to home.
