Youngsters will be able to take part in a range of sports and crafts, such as old favourites, football, netball and dodgeball, alongside activities including Junior Jumble, Zorb Football and Halloween workshops. The popular Multi Mix is on the programme, which allows children to taste a range of sports over one day, along with free cycling safety courses and a disability football/cricket session.

Councillor Mike Smith, cabinet member for leisure, said: “We have had some great feedback from parents and youngsters about the sessions we have put on through the school holidays. And this year we have extended the range of activities so there is more chance for the young people of the borough to get involved. The health and wellbeing of our borough is one of the Council’s top priorities and there is so much to keep children active – whether it is trying new sports, taking part in old favourites, or having a go at other events such as pumpkin carving and craft workshops.”
