Paella party to help get Ella to Kenya

Westover resident Chris Lovatt has been practising his paella skills!

Residents in one little bit of Stone are holding a paella party to raise money for a local Guide’s 2014 trip to Kenya.

People living in and around Westover Drive off Lichfield Road will be raising money at the event on Sunday 21st July for Ella Williamson, who has the opportunity to go to Kididima in Kenya, where the Stone Outward Guides Division will be building a toilet block, health centre and creating a mural for the village’s community centre.

Ella has to raise £1,200 – and has already done a sponsored 3km swim and more. Read lots more on Ella’s lovely blog HERE.

Now Ella has organised a paella party, which is taking place on the green half-way up Westover Drive, on 21st July from 3pm. Paella, burgers and drinks will be for sale, with all proceeds going to Ella’s Kididima fund. There are lots of fun games planned too.

Guides from Stone went out to Kididima in 2o12 and worked on building a new school for the village – you can read more about that HERE.
