Children, staff and members of the public near St Dominic’s RC Primary School in Stone are now safer after Panda Press donated a defibrillator to the school.

The defibrillator is housed inside the school and can be used by members of staff at the school or members of the public in school hours should anyone suffer from a sudden cardiac arrest. This AED will be placed on the Central Ambulance Database through the Public Access Defibrillator Scheme. The defibrillator is a life saving machine that is used on someone who has suffered a cardiac arrest and can be used by anybody without training as it gives vocal instructions.

AED Donate is a Stone-based company whose mission is to gain greater access to the Ambulance Trusts’ ‘Public Access Defibrillator’ (PAD) scheme by enabling local business to donate an AED (Automatic External Defibrillator) on to the PAD scheme, into their local community and in turn helping to save lives.

Sudden cardiac arrest is the UK’s biggest killer, claiming over 200 lives per day. By enabling businesses to donate to the PAD scheme, AED Donate aims to cut this dramatically.
