A new mobile drinks setup is now serving at Westbridge Park in Stone, with local resident Mandy Whitehall behind the venture.
Mandy has secured the licence to provide a seasonal refreshments service from the park’s play area, trading under the name Park Brew from a Mazda Bongo campervan.
The service is offering hot and cold drinks and will run through to the end of October.
Local face behind the van
Mandy said the idea is rooted in supporting the local community.
“I am a local resident and I truly support buying locally.”
Rather than operating to a fixed weekly timetable, Park Brew is running as a flexible service. Mandy plans to be at Westbridge Park for at least two full weekends each month, along with alternate Saturdays or Sundays where possible, aside from personal holiday periods.
That means parkgoers may spot the campervan at different points through the spring and summer, particularly when the play area and wider park are busy.
Easter weekend
Mandy has also asked to let people know Park Brew will be at Westbridge Park over the Easter weekend, serving hot and cold drinks.
For families heading to the play area, and for those walking through the park or along the nearby River Trent, it adds another stop in one of Stone’s best used outdoor spaces.
