Pool sharks needed for Stone competition

Young pool sharks are needed for Stone and District Pool League’s annual knockout competition for juniors.

The tournament is being held at The Lamb in Walton on Sunday 24th November, starting at noon.

Entries are welcome from any players aged 17 and under. The competition is free to enter and there will be a trophy presented to the winner at The Stone Pool League Annual Presentation Evening at The Lamb in January next year.

Last year, Colin Paterson beat Ellis Welton in the final and has gone on to play for The Pavillionaires, based at Stone Cricket Club.

The Stone and District Pool League has 14 teams playing from The Lamb, Stone Cricket Club, The Talbot, The Labour In Vain (Yarnfield), The Eagle (Eccleshall), The Lambourne (Blurton), Moddershall Cricket Club, The Joker (Blurton), The Man In Space (Trentham) and Longton Snooker Centre.
