The Three Crowns in Lichfield Road is celebrating National Sausage Week with eight gourmet sausage-and-mash specials, including some award winners.
Available until Sunday 7th November, the eight varieties on offer for £8.95 are:
Beef & black pepper sausages served on horseradish mash, green beans with red wine, baby onions and bacon gravy
Pork & Bombardier ale sausages served on roasted parsnips, baby spinach and mustard mash (silver award ‘Sausage of the year’ 2009)
Lamb & apricot sausages served on a sweet potato mash with green beans and minted gravy
Venison & juniper sausages served with caramelised onion mash and Chantenay carrots
Pork & Bloody Mary sausages served on creamy mash with confit tomatoes and onion gravy
Wild boar sausages served with honey roast apples and buttered baby spinach, sage mash and gravy (silver award ‘Sausage of the year’ 2009)
Lincolnshire sausages served on parsley mash with caramelised onions, crispy bacon and gravy
Boerwers sausages: a grilled lightly spiced beef sausage served on mashed potato with a rich tomato and onion gravy (silver award in the Innovative Pork Sausage category 2010).
