Pupils at St Michael’s First School went on an artistic journey around the world during Art Week!
The normal curriculum was put on hold in the last week of June as pupils rolled up their sleeves and put on their aprons to create lots of wonderful artwork.
This year’s Art Week had a multicultural theme, with year groups choosing countries to concentrate on and learned many facts about their topic. Lots of visitors worked alongside the children during the week including Creaturama, Debbie Todd, Groove Academy and Creation Station. The pupils also took part in African drumming workshops.
The week was a huge success and increased interest in the arts. Here’s a photo slideshow – if you can’t see it in your browser, just click HERE.
