Misery!!
Jamie Summerfield
Take it you won’t be at the street party on Friday then 😉

Yes I’ll be there with my family – the “misery” was aimed at ANON! I just posted in the wrong place, lesson learned!

My reply to your reply was also pointed at ANON – this is getting confusing now 😉 Time for bed!

Great stuff! I gathered who your message was pointed at, don’t worry 😉

so another day that you can’t use the town. so another you can’t work cos the children are off. bothered??? a load of hype that noone is interested in. maybe if it wasn’t happening the council would have some money to fix the roads and sweep the pavements.

Thanks for the comment Julie! Are you coming to the High Street for the party?
Becks
Bahhhh Humbug! A fine excuse for a family and friends get together methinks … celebrating, if nothing else, the fact that it’s a day for HAPPINESS and FUN!
Kelly
Perhaps you should stay at home then!

I’m VERY excited about the street party. What’s the plan re tables, chairs, bunting, flags?! Can we bring our own picnics? Are we allowed to birng our own booze to drink outside?
Jamie Summerfield
Hi Becks – there’s going to be tables and chairs provided and you can definitely take a picnic!!
I’m not sure about booze, though, because the whole High Street area’s an alcohol restriction zone so, basically, you can’t drink alcohol on the street (unless you buy it from The Crown or The Lounge and drink it in their outside seating areas).
Which seems a shame for the big day! I’m sure lots of people would like to raise a glass to the happy couple! I’m not sure if the restriction would or could be lifted for the street party. I’ll try and find out.

Is that correct Jamie – we have taken our own to the music events before?
Gill
Just had to chat to the council – seems they have a licence for events on the High Street.
Gill
Hi Becks – they usually line the street with seats and tables on a 1st come 1st served basis. I don’t have any more info i’m afraid, Once those seats are used up you can bring your own usually – we have for the music festival etc.
I only know of the license as i happened to be on the phone to the council and raised the question.
Hope its going to be a good day :0)
Becks
Hi Gill, Any idea roughly how many tables and chairs there will be tomorrow – about 20 of us coming down. Thanks, Becks, x.

Thanks Gill – great stuff 🙂

Battercakes by the Bakers Man have been asked to go along and provide some street food for you too.
Look forward to seeing you there!
