A local action group has launched a new Facebook page to rally support and share information about protecting local greenbelt and agricultural land.
Aston by Stone, a peaceful village surrounded by Greenbelt and agricultural land, is under threat. A local farmer has appointed Richborough Developments to seek planning permission to turn 192 acres of our precious farmland next to Stone, into an industrial wasteland.
If approved, this plan would destroy irreplaceable green fields forever. But it doesn’t stop there—how long before other land is targeted? How soon before Aston is swallowed up by industrial sprawl?
The community is furious. At a packed public meeting in December, residents, councillors, and our MP vowed to fight this outrageous proposal. Steve Walley, spokesperson for the campaign, said,
“Once this land is gone, there’s no coming back. We cannot let developers destroy what makes this place special for a quick profit!”
We need your help NOW. Join us in demanding that Aston Green Fields remain untouched. Follow our new Facebook page for updates and let’s send a powerful message:
Our farmland is NOT for sale.
