Stone Festival is starting a little earlier this year – this week in fact, with a special spring funfair at Westbridge Park.
The funfair will be in the park from Thursday 24th March through to Sunday 27th March and will feature many of the town’s favourite rides.
Organised by the Warwick family on behalf of Stone Festival it promises to give local residents a taste of what will be coming again in June during the main Festival week.
John Sayer, Festival Chairman, said the whole festival team was shocked when Fred Warwick passed away in early March.
John said: “Fred’s family will be keeping the business going and wanted to make an immediate commitment to Stone and asked if they could run a funfair to support Stone Festival and the local good causes we support.
“While sad at the passing of Fred we are delighted that the family is rallying around and showing Stone just how committed it is to the town.”
The funfair will open at 6pm on Thursday and Friday and at 2pm on Saturday and Sunday.
Stone Festival takes place this year between 5th and 12th June.
