Stone residents will soon have access to a brand new optical and audiology service in the High Street.
Since we announced the news in November 2018 work has been ongoing with the landlord and with Specsavers to gain planning permission for the new store.
The new High Street Specsavers will open it’s doors this Spring, with the aim to provide the very best eye care and audiology service to the community. Work is underway on the internals of the new store, and we hope to bring you an opening date next month when we receive the confirmed date.
The business will be run by three store directors who are all familiar faces to Specsavers; Jason Guy and Satinder Mahal, both directors at the Stafford store, and Koyas Ali who was previously an optometrist at Bearwood.
‘We’re looking forward to welcoming customers through the doors at our brand-new opticians in this traditional market town,’ says Jason. ‘We will bring the same customer-focussed service that we pride ourselves on in our existing stores and hope to build similarly strong relationships with members of the local community in Stone.’
A spokesperson for the landlord told A Little Bit of Stone:
“We are glad that a company like Specsavers, who operate a fantastic retail chain are coming to Stone. This will be very good for the town and we hope will also encourage other national / local retailers to follow. With the recent opening of B & M that seems all the more likely and positive for the Stone.”
The new store will be in the former Patterns/Bailey’s DIY store, at the bottom of the High Street.
