When the Schwinn spinning bikes at Stone Tennis Club needed refurbishing, members suggested taking inspiration from the Tour de France.

Five of the older bikes have been refurbished so far, with the famous cycle race firmly in mind.

The members’ contributions to the cost of refurbishment also ensured the booking of the bikes in advance.

The indoor cycling sessions at the club have been running for over 12 years now, and currently there are sessions held at 6.30pm on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays, with an earlier session at 6pm on Fridays.

Prices are £3 for members, and £4 for non-members.  Make sure you take a towel and a bottle or other container of water.
