Results day was 2016 was a resounding success for St Dominic’s staff and pupils, with a fantastic 100% pass rate!
90% of students achieved more than 5 subjects at grades A*-C, and 64% of all subject entries were at Grade A*-B.
One student to be celebrating in particular was Bethany Barrett who achieved A*/A grades in 11 subjects (6A*s and 5A’s).
All candidates achieved A*/A in French and Art, A*-B in History and only one candidate scored lower than A*/A in Geography and Spanish. All results, except one, in Religious Studies were at grades A* -B.
Headteacher, Rebecca Harrison commented, “I am incredibly proud of all our students and staff. Once again their hard work has resulted in superb GCSE examination results. Our pupils have a wide range of abilities and are continually encouraged and guided to reach their full potential. I would like to encourage them to build on today’s success as they move on to the next stage of their educational journey.”
