St Michael’s to ring in the Olympics!

St Michael & St Wulfad's Church in Stone

The bells of St Michael’s will be chiming out on Friday morning as the church joins thousands across the country to ring in the first day of the London 2012 Olympics.

At 8:12am on Friday 27th July, thousands of churches, community groups and others across the UK will be joining together to ring in the first day of the London 2012 Olympic Games and to start the 12-hour countdown to the start of the opening ceremony (which starts, appropriately, at 20:12!). St Michael’s church bells will be ringing out for three minutes.
