Step up to the potter’s wheel at the World of Wedgwood

Wedgwood

Inspired by The Great Pottery Throw Down? Then you should head for the World of Wedgwood this weekend to have a go on a potter’s wheel and unleash your inner potter!

The potter’s wheel will be located in the World of Wedgwood decorating studio on Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th December and the activity is free for anyone young or old who would like to have a go.

Once you’ve thrown your pot the clay will be put into a special machine to be recycled. If you’d like to take your pot away with you, though, or even give it as a Christmas gift, the World of Wedgwood will arrange for your masterpiece to be fired and posted out. The cost for this is £10 plus postage.

Part of the BBC and the Craft Council’s ‘Hey Clay’ campaign, the event aims to inspire people to get creative with clay and unleash their inner potter.
