Stoke City Women are preparing for their annual Foundation fixture against Hull City Ladies on Sunday, 13 September, with the club promoting the match at the bet365 Stadium.
The FA Women’s National League Northern Premier Division meeting follows Stoke’s 9-0 WNL Cup win over Blackburn Rovers, a victory which surely would have given fans the same thrill felt by users every time they head to King Casino.
Stoke City have advertised Sunday’s Hull fixture as a bet365 Stadium occasion, with kick-off listed for 2pm BST and tickets available in advance.
The match is part of a wider Foundation week at the club, with the men’s first-team fixture against Sheffield United on Saturday, 19 September also being used to highlight the work of Stoke City Foundation.
There is one practical point for travelling supporters to note. While Stoke’s ticketing and promotional information directs fans to the bet365 Stadium, the FA WNL fixture page has recently still shown Wellbeing Park, so supporters should check their ticket confirmation and the club’s latest updates before setting off.
Foundation focus and ticket offer
The fixture will support Stoke City Foundation, the club’s charitable arm, with family activities planned around the ground before kick-off. Staff from the Foundation will also be present to discuss its community programmes, which centre on physical activity, health and using football to bring people together.
Season Card holders and Potters Plus members can claim free admission if they book in advance. Stoke have warned that prices will rise on the day, with tickets then available on the gate.
Fans can also donate to the Foundation when buying tickets, while the limited-edition shirts worn by the players are due to be auctioned after the match.
Why the fixture matters on the pitch
Stoke go into the fixture with six points from their opening three league matches. They began the campaign with a 2-0 home win over West Bromwich Albion on Sunday, 16 August, then beat Boldmere St Michaels 5-1 on Sunday, 23 August before losing 1-0 away to Loughborough Lightning on Sunday, 30 August.
Richardson’s side responded strongly in cup action, beating Blackburn Rovers 9-0 in the FA WNL Cup on Sunday, 6 September. That result added to their earlier 3-0 cup win at Wythenshawe and should give Stoke confidence as they return to league duties.
Hull arrive with one league win from three. They opened with a 3-2 victory at Loughborough Lightning, but defeats to Norwich City and Liverpool Feds have left them chasing a steadier run in the Northern Premier Division.
Stoke City have also promoted their strong recent record at the bet365 Stadium, saying the women’s side have not lost there since August 2024. A win on Sunday would strengthen their position near the top end of the early table and give the Foundation fixture a sporting edge as well as a community focus.
