Youngsters from 5th Stone Beavers have teamed up with national charity the Dogs Trust to continue their campaign to encourage dog walkers to clean up after their pets on land near their scout hut.
In April, the youngsters spelled out their message to dog walkers – a move which sparked the attention of Dogs Trust…
All the youngsters now have ‘Scooper Hero’ capes provided by the Trust.
Anna Walker, one of the Beaver group’s leaders, said: “Our campaign has certainly made things better on Walton Common but we’re not there yet. Hopefully, the Scooper Hero capes will help us to get the message across. Again, we all appeal to dog walkers to clean up after their pets.”
You can report dog fouling to the borough council HERE if there’s a problem near you. The council has a £75 reward scheme if information you provide leads to a successful prosecution or the issuing of a fixed penalty notice.
