The Stone Cats Protection charity shop is encouraging local residents to give unwanted Christmas presents a second chance by donating them to the shop.

In a post shared on social media, the team explained that gifts which were not quite right on Christmas Day can be turned into something positive by supporting cats currently in their care. Donations help raise vital funds while ensuring items are reused and enjoyed by someone else.

The Stone Cats Protection Charity Shop is particularly keen to receive items such as toiletries, gift sets, books, DVDs, toys and games, although other good quality donations are also welcome.

The shop reopened at 9am this morning, and volunteers said they would be delighted to accept unwanted presents from the community.

Supporters are reminded that every donated item helps the charity continue its work caring for and rehoming cats, while also reducing waste after the festive period.

Residents looking to have a clear out are encouraged to drop items off during opening hours and help give both gifts and cats a second chance.
