Stone Town Council have today released the finalised details of this years Christmas lights switch on.
Taking place on the High Street on Thursday 17th November this years light’s will be turned on at 7pm by Stone’s Olympic gold medal Winner, Joe Clarke. Joe shot to Olympic stardom this summer with his sensational gold medal in the 2016 Rio Olympics.
The event will be compered from 5pm by Stone Radio and will include live music from two 2016 X Factor Contestants. Kirby Frost, who has gone on to produce her own record which reached the top 30 of the Pop Digital Airplay Charts in America, and Garry Grieg who reached the second boot camp.
Jake Shakeshaft, part of our Eurovision 2016 duo, will be returning once again as well as Stone’s Combined School Choir.
As well as the live music there will be the usual fairground rides, sideshows and food outlets to keep everyone fed, entertained and watered.
As you can see from our 2015 photos and videos the Christmas light switch on is always a great atmosphere and fun for all the family!

For Registered charities, who benefit Stone, there will be no charge, for businesses a charge of £25.00 will be made. Each pitch will be 3 metre x 3metre in size and covered.
