Stone gears up for return of classic car event

Stone will once again welcome a collection of classic cars to the town centre on Saturday 27th September 2025, with around 60 vehicles set to line the High Street and Market Square.

The free event, organised by Stone Town Council with support from the Stone Carnival Committee, will run from 11:00 am until 3:00 pm. A road closure will be in place on the High Street between 7:00 am and 5:00 pm to make space for the display. Only cars taking part in the event will be permitted access during those hours.

A showcase of motoring history

Cars spanning 90 years of motoring heritage will be on display, ranging from early 20th-century models through to more recent classics. Visitors can expect to see everything from British favourites to American icons, with the Market Square dedicated to a showcase of American vehicles.

For enthusiasts, it is an opportunity to admire vehicles that are usually hidden away in garages, while for families it offers a relaxed afternoon in the town centre with something of interest for all ages.

Local pride on display

Many of the cars are owned by people from Stone and the surrounding area, giving the event a strong local flavour. It is hoped the gathering will not only celebrate automotive history but also draw people into the town centre to support shops, cafés, and pubs.

Councillor Jill Hood, Chairman of the Council’s Tourism and Town Promotion Sub-Committee, said:

“The Town Council is pleased to be able to bring a Classic Car event to Stone High Street once again. With such a wide range of vehicles there is sure to be something for everyone!

It has been a pleasure to work alongside the Stone Carnival Committee and we are very grateful to their support in co-ordinating this event which is free to attend and is always a family favourite.”

Plan your visit

  • Date: Saturday 27th September 2025

The Classic Car Event has become a regular feature in Stone’s calendar and often draws strong crowds. Visitors are advised to plan their trip in advance as parking in and around the town may be busier than usual.

Hi, I would very much like to display my quite rare Abarth 124 Spider (Heritage) convertible at this yeras show. Launched at the 2016 Geneva motor show this car was only produced for avery short time and as such has rarity in that only limited numbers were were ever produced with global production including all 124 variants being less that 40,000 units world wide.
