A Stone gym, Pro Evo, is being refreshed under new ownership, as part of wider improvements to the site.

The gym, based on Mount Industrial Estate, was taken over in December 2025 by Tom Bailey and Paul Meredith.
Tom had worked at the gym for eight years before taking over and also offers personal training. He is now leading a wider overhaul of the gym floor, with new equipment being added where needed.
Paul has joined him in the business, with both owners saying they want to keep improving the gym for members of different ages, abilities and fitness levels.
Work already carried out includes replacing dumbbells up to 50kg, adding a competition specification bench and seal bench, expanding cable attachments, installing new carpets and refreshing the reception area.
The gym has also introduced in house reupholstery so equipment can be repaired without being left out of use for long periods.
The owners say the gym has no reduced opening hours on bank holidays and offers a range of membership plans to suit different needs, with details available through the Pro Evolution Fitness website.
Further changes are also planned, including revamped changing rooms, new signage, an upgraded dumbbell area and continuing improvements across the gym.
