Two Stone mums set up a family-friendly group on Facebook to help support families in the town to stay connected and informed of toddler/ family groups.
Over a a year ago Kerry Dawson and Steph Brown found a missing link when they were looking for toddler groups to attend.
Steph said: “There are loads of children’s groups in Stone but used to take lot time to find information regarding them, which is best for the different ages of the children, what they offer to me and my children and prices. Many only promoted via their own location. We took this missing link, lots of hard work and set up the Stone Parent & Child Groups on Facebook. This group has over 570 members now and is growing. We have found many parents are finding it a great help to find and attend groups as well as making new friends.”
The group lists all the toddler groups, classes etc in and around Stone. They are all listed within their corresponding day of the week and hold all info needed to attend. Many mums have also helped by providing information and keeping them informed of changes. The group also holds information for children-linked businesses and will soon hold listings for venues in Stone to hold parties.
