Stone Revellers Theatre Company are bringing a Hitchcock masterpiece turned juicy spy novel – The 39 Steps, a fast-paced comedy whodunit playing for one week only this September in Stone.
As Stone Revellers gets set to move into the new Crown Wharf Theatre, this will be a really special opportunity to enjoy one of Stone Revellers’ plays at St Michael’s Hall.
The 39 Steps plays Wednesday 6th September – Saturday 9th September 2023, with performances at 7.30pm nightly, with a 2.30pm Saturday matinee.

In The 39 Steps, a man with a boring life meets a woman with a thick accent who says she’s a spy. When he takes her home, she is murdered. Soon, a mysterious organisation called ‘The 39 Steps’ is hot on the man’s trail in a nationwide manhunt that climaxes in a death-defying finale!
A riotous blend of virtuoso performances and wildly inventive stagecraft, The 39 Steps amounts to an unforgettable evening of pure pleasure!
Directed by Kath Stanway (Admirable Crichton, Murder Afoot), this production sees 4 main cast members, plus 3 performing stagehands, take on an exciting, fast-moving and demanding play, playing multiple characters, moving between various locations and sometimes playing inanimate objects.
In true Stone Revellers fashion, St. Michael’s Hall will be transformed into a magical theatre space. You can choose your own seat online to ensure you get the best seats in the house.

Tickets are £14 for adults and £12 concessions. And there is a Saturday matinee.

Stone Revellers Musical Theatre is the longest-running theatre group in Stone. We have been performing in the town since 1978, and until the pandemic, they hadn’t missed a year.
The groups is run by, and for the members – there are over 100 Revellers who range from aged 6 to 90! And they warmly welcome more members at almost every single show.
The membership isn’t just about performers either; some people love to help with the technical side, set building, costume, collecting tickets and the million other things that go on behind the scenes.
‘Revs’ is more than just a theatre company, it’s a community. They regularly get together socially and look out for each other through the trials and tribulations of life. They certainly try not to take theirselves too seriously, but they absolutely take theatre seriously!
