Christ Church Academy is turning up the volume for summer 2025 as Stone Rocks hits the school field on Saturday, 5th July from 12pm to 4pm. Expect guitars, glitter and good times with a packed afternoon of music, food and festival-style fun right in the heart of town.
Bands, beats and big energy
Whether you’re into rock, pop, or just catching up with mates in the sun, there’s loads going on. The Main Stage will feature headline sets from:
- Sticky Pigeons – back with their high-energy sound
- The Stone Agers – bringing classic vibes with a modern twist
- Brazen – think power chords and proper stage presence
You’ll also see dancers, musical theatre, and a few surprise acts, with performances from:
- CCA’s Got Talent finalists
- Christ Church Academy’s Dance Troupes
- Musical Youth Theatre Stafford
- African drumming
Plus, solo artists and up-and-comers will be added in the run-up to the event.
Chill zone meets choir vibes
Over in the Acoustic Tent, things slow down (in the best way). Sit back and enjoy:
- CK Community Choir and Oulton First
- Christ Church’s Big Band, Strings and Woodwind Ensembles
- St Michael’s First School Choir
- Vocal groups and solo artists from Christ Church Academy
Street food, small biz stalls and funfair throwbacks
This isn’t just about the music. You’ll find:
- Food from The Travelling Taverna, V.I. Pizza, Sweet Tweats, Angel Leighs, Beanie Boy, Crêpes and more
- Ice cream vans, hot dogs, mocktails and sweet treats
- Local traders including Crafty Shed & Co, Griffiths of Stone, CakeFace, A Major Music, and Stone Minds Matter
And yes – there’s a full-on field of funfair-style games, with:
- Hook-a-duck, tombola, face painting and candy floss
- Motor-X bike demos, vintage cars and tractor displays
- Stoke Rugby Club and Trentham Rowing Club showing off their stuff
