The new owners of the Stone Steakhouse in Granville Square certainly know how to put on a good show as their relaunch party proved to be hot stuff!
New owners Pete Taylor and Justine Jones celebrated taking over in style with fire jugglers, fire breathers, table magicians and a cocktail flarer. Local band The Supersets, fresh from their performance at Stone Music Festival recently, also performed.
Pete and Justine will be extending and refurbishing the bar and restaurant after the previous owners had obtained planning permission.
They’re also planning a decked area on the roof of the premises with outside heaters, sofas and a mobile bar that will only be selling bottled drinks.
There are also plans to extend the wine and cocktail lists, as well as the menu.

Thats the pubs reputation though..its been the same for years. The new owners will have to do some work to turn it around….

Hope the new owners spend some time on sorting out the pub part of the business. We visited on Sunday to eat in the Steakhouse, but on entering the bar found a very noisy crowd with a great deal of foul language.
There were children sitting at the bar and others running around and the place was very untidy.
We turned around and left without even a drink.
Not a great start. Let’s hope it gets better.
