Stone Town Council freezes Council Tax

Stone Town Council voted to freeze its share of our Council Tax bill at a meeting on 13th February.

The budget that was approved sees a Band D precept of £40.09. Our Council Tax bill is made up of charges, or precepts, from the town council, Stafford Borough Council, Staffordshire County Council, fire authority and police authority.

The county council has frozen its share of the bill, as has the fire authority, while Stafford Borough Council surprisingly cut its share by 2%. The police authority has yet to make its decision.
