Stone’s first social media surgery will be held at Titanic Brewery’s Royal Exchange pub on Monday 15th November.
What on earth is a social media surgery I hear you ask! Well, it’s a pretty informal gathering of people who want to learn how to use the web and social media tools to communicate. They are deliberately relaxed and the idea is that advisors, or surgeons, help people from voluntary and community groups to use these tools to help their organisation or group.
A surgeon is someone who knows enough about using social media tools to help someone else. Some surgeons have spent years understanding the internet, others started learning a few months ago but want to share what they know with other community groups and active citizens.
The Stone surgery takes place at the Royal Exchange from 6.30pm to 9pm. For more information, and to register to attend, click here
