Alexandra Street Sign

The resident contacted A Little Bit of Stone after being startled by someone posting part of a newspaper through their letterbox before 4am.

The incident was reported to police, and a Staffordshire Smart Alert has since said the newspaper may have been pushed through the letterbox to check whether residents were at home or away.

The resident also reported seeing a white car with a black roof leaving the area at around 4.15am.

Staffordshire Police are asking anyone who saw suspicious activity in the area, or who has any information, to contact 101 quoting reference 0078 of 13 May.

Residents may also want to check with neighbours, particularly anyone elderly or vulnerable, and report any similar concerns to police.
