A well-known independent tea room in Stone is looking for a new owner after being put up for sale due to retirement.

The Secret Tea Room, in the heart of Stone town centre, announced the news on social media over the weekend, saying the business remains open as usual while the search for a buyer takes place.
The tea room said it has been built with “love, hard work and passion” and is known for homemade food, afternoon teas and a warm atmosphere.
It has also highlighted its support for local suppliers, with locally sourced food and drink used wherever possible.
A ready-to-run business
In its announcement, The Secret Tea Room said the business comes with an established reputation, loyal repeat customers and an existing social media presence.
The sale includes inventory, fixtures and fittings, with the tea room described as a ready-to-run opportunity for someone looking to take over an established café business in Stone.
The business also pointed to its town centre location, cosy interior and regular customer base as part of the opportunity being offered.
The Secret Tea Room said
“Due to retirement, this much loved independent tea room is now for sale.”
The business added
“Known for its homemade food, afternoon teas and warm atmosphere, The Secret Tea Room has been built with love, hard work and passion, serving quality locally sourced food and drinks wherever possible.”
