Ticket Giveaway – Faure’s Requiem

We would like to invite you to Cantiamo’s performance of Faure’s Requiem and have 2 tickets to give away to a lucky sharer of this story*

Once again Stone Cantiamo Chamber Choir are combining with the Sheffield Chamber Choir to perform a major choral work in St. Michael’s Church, Stone. The concert is on Saturday May 10th. at 7.30pm.

In addition to the Faure Requiem the choirs will also perform a selection of shorter pieces. These will include Stanford’s Te Deum and Songs and Sonnets by Stone composer Stuart Johnson, who also conducts Cantiamo. The Sheffield Chamber choir is directed by Robert Webb who will conduct the Faure work.

The choirs will be accompanied once again by the St.Cecilia String Orchestra. The soloists are Peter Taylor, Baritone and Harriet Johnson, Soprano.

Tickets £10, including wine and nibbles, are available from Stone Home and Colour Centre, Stone High Street, choir members, or telephone 01785 816053.

Cantiamo is a small chamber choir based in Stone, founded by Stuart Johnson in 2011. In a relatively short amount of time the choir, under Stuart’s expert direction, has gained a noteworthy reputation for it’s eclectic repertoire and fine standard of singing.

*A sharer is someone who either shares our Facebook post or who re-tweets our twitter tweet for this post.  A sharer will be selected at random and must provide the names for the 2 tickets which will be available to collect on the door on the night of the performance.
