A time capsule was buried at Stone’s new community fire station as part of a community event to celebrate the new facility.

Stone Watch Manager Mike Burnside was joined by daughter Sadie and other pupils from Christ Church Academy for the capsule burying ceremony on Monday 23rd March. The capsule contains photographs and ID cards of the current crew, pictures of recent retirees and a photocopy of a newspaper article about the new fire station.

Local people also had a tour of the community station – and celebration cupcakes were supplied by Stone Baked from Stone High Street.
